The PSA56 combines Nanotec’s external hybrid linear actuator LSA56 and the smart controllers of our PD4-E series

This extremely compact drive unit is especially designed for challenging applications that require high repetition accuracy. The integrated magnetic single-turn absolute encoder has a resolution of 1024 cpr and supports field-oriented control via CANopen.

Offering the full range of motion control, I/O and communication options, the PSA56 actuator is highly configurable.

The lead screw has a 3/8’’ ACME thread and can be matched with Nanotec’s standard or anti-backlash threaded nuts. Its protective coating is made of carbon material and improves the friction characteristics and thereby the service life of the nuts.

  • Fully programmable
  • Robust design, rated IP65
  • Reduced installation costs and cabling effort
  • Other screws, fieldbuses or motor lengths on request
  • Operating voltage: 12 – 48 V

Knowledge Base

This application note shows how to establish communication between Nanotec drives via CANopen. NanoJ programming allows you to realize simple master/slave functionalities, such as synchronizing two drives without a PLC.
More details
The examples and the Application Note show you how the NanoJ Library simplifies the use of the CiA 402 Power State Machine. The functions of the library are contained in a single header file, which you can easily add to your NanoJ project in Plug & Drive Studio.
